“Mad About Super Heroes” by “The Usual Gang of Super-Idiots” (Foreword by Adam West) – 1st EDITION 1st PRINT Softcover (8-1/4″ x 10-1/2″) – Published in 2002 by Mad Books – 176 pages in black & white and in color – EXCELLENT condition. Alfred E. Newman strikes again! MAD magazine began as a parody of comic books and strips. This collection brings together many of their best super hero parodies from several decades of publication, including the early work and spoofs of comic book movies. The parodies and spoofs are just as hilarious today as they were when they first appeared in issues of Mad Magazine beginning in the 1950s. Any comics or super hero fan will get a kick out of the great stories in this book which poke fun at our favorite comic super hero icons. There is some very minor edge wear (see the scan), but this book is still in EXCELLENT condition. No collection of Mad Magazine books is complete without this one. Please see the scans for the great artwork on the cover and the contents, and so you can judge the condition for yourself (unlike many other booksellers, who post generic scans, the book in my scan is the one you will get). You can try to buy this book for less money from one of those eBay booksellers with hundreds, if not thousands of negatives (you know the ones I refer to) and be lucky if the book is delivered to you in the stated condition (if you even get it at all), or you can buy it from me and be assured of a prompt delivery and of receiving a high quality item true to the condition indicated.
